| For those of you blaming us not to have
presented a technical paper, below is a letter which explains why ? The chairman of the selection commitee came personnally twice to see Mr.
Saint-Hilaire during the exhibition to express his regret, and explained that the reject was mostly base on the fact that "the
authors were not known from the world of engines". We mutually closed the discussions in recognising that this was not an acceptable criteria, and that the selection commitee will be more "scientific" in the future. Please understand that we have a great respect for the SAE, the conventional engine experts, and the majors in Detroit and all around the world, but this proves that they are not always the first to welcome innovations! We have been hurt, but we will be back still stronger ... |
Pour ceux qui nous reprochent de ne pas avoir présenté une
conférence technique, voici ci-bas une lettre qui explique pourquoi ?
Le président du comité de sélection est venu personnellement rencontrer Monsieur
Saint-Hilaire à 2 reprises au cours de l'exposition pour exprimer sa doléance,
et expliquer que le rejet venait surtout du fait que "les auteurs
n'étaient pas connu du monde des moteurs".
Nous avons mutuellement mis un terme aux discussions en reconnaissant que cela n'était pas acceptable, et que le comité de sélection serait plus "scientifique" à l'avenir. Comprenez que nous avons un grand respect pour le SAE, les experts en moteurs
conventionnels et les grands de Détroit et d'ailleurs,
mais ceci prouve qu'ils ne sont pas toujours les premiers à accueillir l'innovation ! |
