Quasiturbine is a engine half way between the turbine and the piston engine.
The Saint-Hilaire family of Montreal worked on this invention for ten years now.
The Quasiturbine is based on the concepts of a rotary engine with variable
volume pistons turning around a central axel.
There are, in theory, many applications and advantages over the piston engine.
